Clubhouse Updates

| During such a despairing time in terms of economy and politics it is wonderful to report, Haverhill Clubhouse had a wonderful turnout for our first official Member Appreciation Day! We enjoyed numerous activities throughout the day along with a full breakfast in the morning and a cookout outside in the afternoon. With something for everyone the day was jam packed with relay races, lawn darts, pool tournaments, jam sessions, basketball games and piñatas. Not only were we able to appreciate our members that we see on a daily basis but we also got visits throughout the day from some old faces that decided to join us on our first Member Appreciation Day. Recently Haverhill Clubhouse has experienced a couple changes in terms of staffing so it was the first time that we were able to bring new and old staff alike as well as members that have been here a day or ten years to share together in this experience as one. To say the least it was a wonderful bonding experience for everyone involved. Every moment of the day was picture perfect including the nice water balloon fight that came along at the perfect time during the hottest moment of the day. During the cookout we were joined by Kathleen O’ Keefe our Executive Director and Karen Simone the Administrative Assistant who played pool, helped serving for the cookout and even joined in a game of basket ball. It was great to see all of our members and staff old and new getting to experience this new tradition that we have begun and it for our first time it was a great success! We hope to see this becoming a regular annual holiday here at the Haverhill Clubhouse and have many more memories to come. |
